Historically important Mayan ruins and carefully planned tourism to rainforest areas offer visitors the opportunity to experience Belize inland as well as offshore. Not to miss are: Ambergris Caye (San Pedro), the Atolls, the Belize Zoo, San Ignacio, Community Baboon Sanctuary, Corozal and Altun Ha.

DAY 1 : BELIZE CITY-BELIZE ZOO-XUNANTUNICH - MAYA RUINS (L,D)
Depart Belize City for a full day tour that begins with the Belize Zoo, Belize's historic wildlife habitat. Then, drive via the Western Highway to the Maya site of Xunantunich, on the banks of the Mopan River. Among the partially excavated ruins are 1,400 year old stucco friezes, stone carvings, vaulted buildings, and El Castillo, a classic Mayan temple and the second tallest in Belize (127 feet). Overnight in the Cayo area.

DAY 2 : MOUNTAIN PINE RIDGE FOREST RESERVE (B,L,D)
Today's full day tour visits the Mountain Pine Ridge Forest Reserve, where you can see the Rio Frio caves, and the 1,000 ft. Hidden Valley Falls. You may wish to swim in the cool waters of Rio On Pools. Overnight in an inland resort with dinner.

DAY 3 : PANTI MEDICINAL TRAIL-CAHAL PECH- BELIZE CITY (B,L)
Board a motorized canoe for a tour on Macal River en route to the Panti Medicinal Plant Trail. Continue to the Mayan site of Cahal Pech, with 34 buildings currently under excavation. Return to Belize City.

DAY 1 : BELIZE CITY-DANGRIGA (L,D)
Early morning ground transfer to Dangriga. Upon arrival begin your tour to the Cockscomb Basin Wildlife Jaguar Preserve, the only one of its kind in the world. Then visit the Garifuna village of Hopkins, and the Maya Center. Dinner and overnight at the Pelican Beach hotel.

DAY 2 : SOUTH WATER CAYE-MAN O WAR CAYE (B,L,D)
A full day tour today takes you to South Water Caye for snorkeling and visit to the Frigate Bird Sanctuary at Man O War Caye. Return to the hotel.

DAY 3 : DANGRIGA-GALES POINT-BELIZE CITY(B,L)
Morning at leisure, to perhaps stroll into the town of Dangriga, visit the local craft shops or the small Garifuna museum. Afternoon transfer to airport for flight to Belize City.

DAY 1 : BELIZE CITY-FLORES
Afternoon transfer to the airport for your flight to Flores located in the northern region of Peten, Guatemala. Meeting and assistance upon arrival and transfer to your hotel for overnight.

DAY 2 : FLORES-TIKAL MAYAN RUINS (B,L)
Enjoy a full day tour to majestic Tikal (Mayan for Places of Voices) nestled in the dense jungles of Peten. This site has been extensively excavated and restored and is the most recognizable of all the Mayan ruins. Picnic lunch is included. Early evening return to your hotel for overnight.

DAY 3 : FLORES-BELIZE CITY (B)
Transfer to the airport for your morning flight back to Belize City.
