Itinerary
Day
1 : USA-BELIZE CITY-CAYO
Depart USA to Belize City. Meeting and assistance upon arrival
in Belize City and transfer to Cayo area for overnight.
Balance of day at leisure.
Day
2 : CAYO-MOUNTAIN PINE RIDGE FOREST RESERVE (B,L)
Today's full day tour visits the Mountain Pine Ridge Forest
Reserve. Here you will have a opportunity to see the
natural
beauty of the reserve including the Rio Frio caves, 1,000
ft. Hidden Valley Falls and a chance for swimming in
the cool
waters of Rio On Pools. Head southwest to the famous Maya
site of Caracol (Mayan for snail). Picnic lunch while
in Caracol.
Walk the path of the Maya and discover some of their well
kept secrets. After the tour, return to Cayo area for
overnight.
Day 3 : CAYO-FLORES (B)
Morning pick up and transfer overland to the border towns
of Belize's Benque Viejo and Guatemala's Melchor Village where
you will pass through customs formalities and continue to
your hotel in Flores, in the Peten region of Guatemala .Afternoon
at leisure to relax or explore the area. Overnight at your
Flores hotel.
Day 4 : FLORES-TIKAL MAYAN RUINS (B,L)
Following an early breakfast, enjoy a full day tour of majestic
Tikal (Mayan for Places of Voices) nestled in the dense jungles
of Peten. This site has been extensively excavated and restored
and is the most recognizable of all the Mayan ruins. Picnic
lunch is included. Early evening return to your hotel for
overnight.
Day 5 : FLORES-BELIZE CITY- AMBERGRIS CAYE (B)
This morning, you will be transferred to the Flores Airport
for your short flight to Belize City International Airport
with connecting service to San Pedro (Ambergris Caye). Meeting
and assistance upon arrival and transfer to your hotel. Day
at leisure to enjoy optional water sports or simply relax
in the sun.
Day 6 : AMBERGRIS CAYE (B)
Morning snorkeling tour to Hol Chan Marine Reserve & Shark
Ray Alley. You will snorkel in incredible clear waters and
have a personal encounter with nurse sharks and graceful
stingrays. Afternoon at leisure. Accommodations in San Pedro.
Day 7 : AMBERGRIS CAYE (B)
Day at leisure.
Day 8 : AMBERGRIS CAYE-BELIZE CITY-USA (B)
After breakfast, transfer to the airport for the short flight
to Belize City International Airport with connecting service
for your flight home.
