Itinerary

Your ItineraryDay 1: USA - GUATEMALA
Depart from the USA to Guatemala. Meeting and assistance upon arrival at the Guatemala City airport, and transfer to your hotel. Overnight in Guatemala City.

Day 2: ANTIGUA (B)
Transfer to Antigua Guatemala. The earliest colonial capital of Central America, Antigua was founded in 1543. Visit the main buildings from the colonial times, such as the Main Square, the Cathedral and other buildings and colonial spots. Overnight in Antigua.

Day 3: CHICHICASTENAGO- PANAJACHEL (B)
Departure toward the inner highlands in Chichicastenango. Tour through the open-air market (Thursday and Sunday), where colorful handicrafts of the region are for sale. Enter the 400-year old church of Santo Tomas, where catholic and pagan rites take place in a mystical atmosphere. In the afternoon continue toward Lake Atitlan. Overnight in Panajachel.

Day 4: SANTIAGO ATITLAN - QUETZALTENANGO (B)
In the morning you will embark on a boat ride to the Tzutuhil town of Santiago Atitlan. This small town still keeps the Mayan traditions and culture. In the afternoon continue to Quetzaltenango for overnight.

Day 5: ALMOLONGA -ZUNIL- COTZUMALGUAPA (B)
Today you will tour the indigenous towns of Almolonga and Zunil very famous for its vegetables and flowers. Enjoy a bath in the hot springs of Fuentes Georginas, natural bath in a gorgeous atmosphere, before continuing through the pacific side to Santa Lucia Cotzumalguapa for overnight.

Day 6: GUATEMALA- COPAN (B, D)
Drive through the Motagua valley towards Honduras. En route you will pass through the states of El Progreso and Zacapa in Guatemala. Rest stop in Rio Hondo. After Customs formalities, transfer to Copan. Dinner at a local restaurant. Overnight.

Day 7: COPAN (B)
The highlight of the day today is the visit the legendary archaeological park of Copan. Enjoy the impressive 63-step stairway with over 2,500 hieroglyphs and the masterfully carved staeles. In the afternoon visit Las Sepulturas, a residential and burial site of the noble Mayan. Overnight in Copan.

Day 8: YOJOA LAKE (B)
Driving through fascinating landscapes you will reach Yojoa Lake, a natural lake surrounded by impressive mountains. Visit the Pulhapanzak waterfall, a former Maya ceremonial center. Overnight at a nearby hotel.

Day 9: TELA/ TRIUNFO (B)
Drive to Tela in the Caribbean coast. You will visit the Lancetilla Botanical Garden, with its collection of trees and plants from all over the world. Transfer to the hotel located on the beach. Overnight in Tela/Triunfo.

Day 10: PUNTA SAL NATIONAL PARK (B, L)
Morning departure by boat to ex-plore the Punta Sal National Park, the first marine park ever opened on the mainland. While visiting sheltered bays well hidden among the rocks, you will have the opportunity to swim and snorkel, expe-riencing the marine life of the world's second largest coral reef, located very close to the shore at Punta Sal. Lunch at the National Park. Return to Tela/Triunfo for overnight.

Day 11-13: TELA/TRIUNFO (B)
Leisure time to enjoy the afro-Caribbean spirit and the endless beach of Tela/Triunfo.

Day 14: SAN PEDRO SULA -USA (B)
Transfer to San Pedro Sula on time to connect with your departure fight to the USA.
