Itinerary
Day
1: USA - SAN JOSE
Depart USA to San Jose, Costa Rica. Meeting and assistance
upon arrival at Juan Santamara International Airport, and
transfer to your hotel for the evening, the Costa Rica Marriott
Hotel. Costa Rica, with its resplendent rainforests, active
volcanoes, and gorgeous beaches provides the perfect setting
for a romantic honeymoon getaway.
Day 2: SAN JOSE - BOSQUE DE PAZ (B, L, D)
In the morning you will be provided with a 4 x 4 Daihatsu
Terios (4 x 4) car rental. Drive on your own to Bosque de
Paz area. Bosque de Paz is in Bajos del Toro located between
Poas Volcano and Juan Castro National Park, just a two hours
drive North of San Jose. A Internal hike in this magnificent "peace forest" starts,
clears your mind of everyday cares and refreshes your soul-reaffirming
this 250-hectare
(620 acre) private reserve's name. Trails winding through
this tropical forest reveal innumerable species of plants
and flowers, as well as exotic birds. Lodging at Bosque de
Paz Hotel for two nights with a full board program (all meals
included).
Day 3: BOSQUE DE PAZ (B, L, D)
Today you will have a full day at leisure to explore on your
own this beautiful area.
Day 4: ARENAL (B)
Drive your four-wheel drive to Arenal area. Morning departure
from Bosque de Paz Hotel., in order to enjoy the different
attractions of the area including the Fortuna Waterfall, the
Venado Caves, the Tabacon Hot Springs and much more. The
Arenal Volcano is located in Costa Rica’s Northern Region.
Along the way you will find small towns dedicated to agriculture
and cattle ranches which become what many people have called
the heart of the country. The plains, rivers and most important,
the people of the North. The main attraction of this area
is by far the Arenal Volcano, active since 1969 with its
curative hot mineral springs and its manicured gardens. Overnight at the
Tabacon Resort Hotel.
Day 5: ARENAL (B)
Day at leisure to enjoy optional activities or relax at the
hotel.
Day 6:MID-PACIFI REGION (B)
Drive from Arenal Area toward Costa Rica’s Mid Pacific
region. The Pacific Coast ranges over 500 miles from its
northernmost tip to its border with neighboring Panama. This vast extension
holds countless beaches and picturesque towns and villages.
There are also several protected areas and national parks
to visit in the region so prepare yourself for a full itinerary
of sights to see. Activities abound and even the most discriminating
traveler will find an adventure to participate in. Surfing,
kayaking, rafting and hiking are just a few of the activities
visitors will find. Overnight at Villa Caletas Hotel in a
standard room with jacuzzi.
Day 7: MID-PACIFIC REGION (B)
Today you will have a full day at leisure to relax in the
area.
Day 8: RETURN TO SAN JOSE (B)
Return to San Jose on a 2 hour drive. Lodging at the Martino
Resort and Spa Hotel, in a Junior Suite. Enjoy the amenities
of the hotel, and relax.
Day 9: SAN JOSE - USA (B)
Following breakfast, you will drive to the International
Airport (15 minutes), where you will drop off your car
and board your flight back to the USA.
