Itinerary
DAY 1: USA-ATHENS
Departure from the USA on your overnight flight to Athens.
DAY 2: ATHENS
Arrival today at the Athens International Airport where
you will be met by FreeGate personnel and assisted through
Customs and baggage claim formalities. Transfer to your
hotel. The remainder of the day is at leisure.
DAY 3: ATHENS (B)
Depart for a morning tour of
Athens after breakfast. You will
be introduced to the most
important sites, including the
famed Acropolis with its
dominating view and the site of
the renowned Parthenon. There
will be a visit to the Acropolis
Museum. The remainder of the
day is at leisure. Overnight in
Athens.
DAY 4: ATHENS (B)
Day at leisure. You may embark
on an optional tour, a shopping
spree in the fashionable shops of
nearby Kolonaki Square, or
simply enjoy a relaxing cup of
Greek coffee in a local cafe while
you watch the people bustling
about as they tend to the every
day affairs of this modern city.
DAY 5: ATHENS- 3DAY
CRUISE - MYKONOS
(B,L,D)
After breakfast at the hotel,
transfer to Piraeus to embark on
your 3-day cruise. Afternoon
arrival into Myconos. Stroll at
leisure through the white - washed,
flower - decked alleyways to the
sculpture like church of
Paraportiani, or along the
waterfront to the famous
windmills.
DAY 6:
KUSADASI (TURKEY) - PATMOS (B,L,D)
Early morning arrival into Kusadasi, a most popular Turkish port and gateway to the ancient city of Ephesus. In the afternoon, your ship will call at the island of Patmos. Here you can visit the Monastery of St. John, where the Book of Revelations was written.
DAY 7: HERAKLION (CRETE) - SANTORINI
(B,L,D)
In the morning the ship will call at Heraklion, Crete. Here you may choose to discover the town on your own or embark on an optional excursion to the Minoan Palace of Knossos, followed by a visit to the Heraklion Museum. The next destination today is the island of Santorini, the land of the fabled Atlantis. After strolling through the narrow streets of the town, enjoy the breathtaking view of the volcanic site below while sipping on a cool refreshment
DAY 8: ATHENS - DEPARTURE (B)
After disembarkation from the
cruise, transfer to the airport for
your departing flight.
