Itinerary

Day
1, Fri: USA-CAIRO
An overnight
transatlantic flight, with meals on board, takes you to
exotic Cairo.
Day 2, Sat: CAIRO
Enjoy a warm welcome at the airport from our representative,
who will assist you through customs and baggage claim formalities
and escort
you to your hotel. The remainder of the day is at leisure.
Day 3, Sun: CAIRO-PYRAMIDS & SPHINX-MEMPHIS-SAKKARA

Today's full-day tour
begins with a visit to the Pyramids and Sphinx of Giza. After lunch (optional),
you will visit Memphis, the capital of ancient Egypt, to see the statue of Ramses
II and the alabaster Sphinx of the 18th Dynasty. Continue to Sakkara to see the
Step Pyramid, the oldest in Egypt, and the famous Mastaba tombs. The evening
is free for your own activities.
Day 4, Mon: CAIRO-LUXOR (NILE CRUISE)-TEMPLES
OF LUXOR & KARNAK (B,L,D)
Morning
transfer to the airport for the short flight to Luxor, to board your Nile cruise
ship. After lunch on board, you will visit the Temples of Luxor and Karnak. The
afternoon is free to relax on board the ship.The evening dinner on board is followed
by a belly dance show. Overnight in Luxor.
Day 5, Tue: LUXOR-WEST BANK-EDFU (B,L,D)
Early in the
morning you will cross the Nile to its West Bank. Highlights
of the tour include the Valley of Kings
and Queens, where dynasties of Pharaohs were buried, the Great Temple
of Queen Hatshepsut at El Deir El Bahari, and more. Stop
at Medinet Habu to see the twin
Colossi of Memnon, the enormous seated statue facing the Nile. Return to
the ship for lunch. Sail to Edfu. In the evening you will
enjoy the Captain's welcome
cocktail party, followed by dinner. Overnight in Edfu.
Day 6, Wed: EDFU- KOM OMBO (B, L, D)
Today's visit in
Edfu includes the superbly preserved temple of the falcon
god Horus. After lunch on board. the ship
sails to Kom Ombo. In Kom Ombo you will visit the temple
shared by the two gods, Sobek
and Haroeis. Dinner on board is followed by a Galabeya Party. Overnight
in Kom Ombo.
Day 7, Thu: KOM OMBO-ASWAN (B,L,D)
Sail in the morning
to the Nubian town of Aswan. Sightseeing begins with a
visit to the High Dam, built by President
Nasser to control the flooding of the Nile. Then, travel
by boat to the Temple of Isis,
rising off the waters of Lake Nasser on the island of Philae. Continue
to the ancient Granite Quarries and the enormous 170
foot-long unfinished Obelisk. After
lunch on board, sail the Nile by felucca around Elephantine Island
to view the Agha Khan Mausoleum and Kitchener's Island,.
Tonight's
dinner on board is followed
by a Nubian folkloric show. Overnight in Aswan.
Day 8, Fri: ASWAN - CAIRO (B)
Disembark after breakfast
and transfer to the airport for your flight to Cairo. Meeting
with your host upon arrival and transfer
to your hotel. The balance of the day is at leisure.
Day 9, Sat: CAIRO - ATHENS (B)
Transfer to the airport for your flight
to Athens. Meet with
local FreeGate personnel and transfer to
your hotel. The remainder of the day
is at leisure.
DAY 10, Sun: ATHENS (B)
Leave the hotel in the morning for
the Athens city tour, which will
introduce you to the most important
sites of the city. You will visit the
famed Acropolis, site of the
renowned Parthenon, and the
Acropolis Museum. Remainder of
the day at leisure. Overnight.
DAY 11, Mon: ATHENS - 4 DAY CRUISE
- MYKONOS (B,L,D)
After breakfast at the hotel, you
will be transferred to Piraeus to
embark on your 4-day Greek Island
cruise. The first port of call today
will be the jet set island of
Mykonos. Stroll at leisure through
the white-washed, flower-decked
alleyways to the sculpture-like
church of Paraportiani, or along
the waterfront to the famous
windmills.
DAY 12, Tue: KUSADASI -
PATMOS (B,L,D)
Early morning arrival into
Kusadasi, a most popular Turkish
port and gateway to the ancient
city of Ephesus. In the afternoon,
your ship will call at the island of
Patmos. Here you can visit the
Monastery of St. John, where the
Book of Revelations was written.
DAY 13, Wed: RHODES (B,L,D)
Early morning arrival into Rhodes,
the island of Roses. You will spend
a full day on the island to explore
on your own. Or simply hire a taxi
and go to one of the nearby
beaches for a swim in the crystal
clear waters of the Aegean.
DAY 14, Thu: SANTORINI -
HERAKLION (B,L,D)
In the morning the first port of call
will be Santorini, where you can
explore the land of the fabled
Atlantis. Then on to your next port
of call Heraklion, where you may
choose to discover the town on your
own or embark on an optional
excursion to the Minoan Palace of
Knossos.
DAY 15, Fri: CRUISE - ATHENS (B)
Early morning arrival in Piraeus.
After disembarkation you will be
transferred to your hotel. The remainder of the day is at leisure
to explore the city on your own or embark on any of
the optional tours available.

16, Sat: ATHENS - DEPARTURE (B)
Transfer to the airport
for your departure flight.
