Sicilian Carousel

DAY 1: USA/CATANIA
Depart via overnight transatlantic flight to Catania with meals on board.

DAY 2: CATANIA (D)
Upon arrival you will be met and transferred to your hotel. Welcome cocktail, dinner and overnight in Catania.

DAY 3 - SUN: CATANIA - SIRACUSA - RAGUSA (B, D)
After buffet breakfast, depart for Syracuse and visit the archaeological area including the famous Latomie of the Paradise and the Dyionisios “Ear”. Continue to the island of Ortigia, historical centre of the city. Lunch on your own. Visit of the Cathedral and Arethuse fountain. Depart for Ragusa and accommodation at Hotel. The evening will be dedicated to a fascinating visit of the historical centre of Ibla and a dinner in a famous restaurant with a typical Sicilian menu. Overnight.

DAY 4 - MON: RAGUSA - PIAZZA - ARMERINA - AGRIGENTO (B, L, D)
After buffet breakfast, depart for Caltagirone famous centre of the Sicilian ceramics production. Continue to Piazza Armerina and visit the worldwide known Villa Romana del Casale thanks to its well preserved mosaics. Lunch in a local restaurant with a special menu chosen to give the opportunity to taste the local specialities. Depart for Agrigento and visit the Valley of the Temples. Accommodation at hotel and dinner at your hotel. After dinner, unforgettable tour of the Valley of the Temples by night.

DAY 5 - TUE: AGRIGENTO - MONREALE - PALERMO (B, D)
After buffet breakfast depart for Palermo. Accomodation at hotel. Time at leisure and lunch at your own. In the afternoon visit of Monreale : visit of the Cathedral, one of the most beautiful monuments of the world, and the Benedictine Cloister in Arab-norman style. Continue to visit the historical centre of Palermo, one of the largest of Europe ( including the Cathedral, the Palatine Chapel, the Royal Palace ). Accommodation at your hotel. Dinner and overnight.

DAY 6 - WED: PALERMO - SEGESTA - ERICE - TRAPANI - PALERMO (B, D)
After buffet breakfast, depart for Segesta to admire the Temple and the Theatre surrounded by a suggestive landscape. Continue to the medieval village of Erice placed on the top of a hill, and walk in its tiny and characteristic streets. Lunch on your own. Down to Trapani to view the salt windmills still working. Return to Palermo. Dinner at a local restaurant. Accommodation at your hotel.

DAY 7 - THURS: PALERMO - CEFALU - PARCO DEI NEBRODI - TAORMINA - GIARDINI NAXOS (B, L, D)
After buffet breakfast, depart for Cefalù and visit the arab-norman Cathedral. Enjoy a walk in the streets of the small village and continue to the Park of “Nebrodi”. Stop at the Miraglia Forest for lunch with a typical menu. Continue to Cesarò, Randazzo and visit the Etna park from an unusual point of view, the North part of it. Indescribable landscapes will appear under your eyes. Arrival in Giardini Naxos, dinner and overnight at your hotel.

DAY 8 - FRIDAY: TAORMINA - GIARDINI NAXOS (B, D)
After breakfast, full day at leisure in one of the most famous Mediterranean resorts. Enjoy this free day by walking in the streets of Taormina, located on a unique area which has inspired many artists. For those interested, there is a possibility of an optional excursion to the Mount Etna (up to 1800 meters or - for the adventurous - even ascend to 3000 meters). In the evening, farewell dinner at your hotel.

DAY 9: TAORMINA - GIARDINI NAXOS - DEPARTURE (B)
After breakfast you will be transferred to the airport for your departure flight.
