Itinerary
Day 1: USA - SANTIAGO
Depart for the USA on your overnight flight to Santiago, Chile.
Day 2: SANTIAGO
Early morning arrival in Santiago. Assistance at the airport
and transfer to your hotel. In the afternoon you will embark
on a half-day tour of the city. Santiago is a city of contrasts
with traditional areas, a civic and commercial center and
a modern district. The tour includes such highlights as the
Club Hipico, a beautiful horseracing track, Cousino Palace,
the "La Moneda" government palace, the Pre-Columbian Art Museum,
and the Plaza de Armas A little further you cross the Mapocho
river and head straight towards the San Cristobal Hill on
the north side of the city with a fine all-round view of
the capital stretched out below. Halfway down the hill, a stop
for a wine tasting at the Enoteca Wine Museum. Overnight.
 Day
3: SANTIAGO (VINA DEL MAR - VALPARAISO) (B)
Following breakfast, depart on a full day tour to Vina del
Mar & Valparaiso. After crossing the coastal range through
tunnels and the unique Curacavi farming valley you begin
feeling
the cool breeze of the Pacific Ocean. Continue to Vina del
Mar, Chile's most popular seaside resort. Skirting along
the
coast, you proceed to Chile's main international seaport,
Valparaiso.
Day 4: SANTIAGO (B)
Full day leisure to enjoy this beautiful city. You have several
exciting choices for optional tours such as a visit to the
world renowned wineries like Concha y Toro or Santa Rita,
a visit to the classic Museums, or perhaps a full day optional
tour to legendary Portillo.
Day 5 : SANTIAGO-ARICA (B)
After breakfast you will be transferred to Santiago Airport
for your flight to Arica. Meeting and assistance upon arrival
in Arica and transfer to your hotel. In the afternoon enjoy
a city tour of Arica vising the San Marcos Church, the Customs
Building, Colon Square, commercial district, the historical
Morro, the "Museum of the American Man," Azapa Valley and
the "San Miguel Azapa" archaeological museum with pre-Incan
relics as old as 10,00 years BC. Arica is Chile's northernmost
gateway. Overnight.
Day 6 : ARICA (B)
Full day at leisure for explore the city on your own or join
an optional full day tour with lunch to Lauca National Park & Lluta
Valley. Lauca National Park offers a spectacular display
of exotic flora and wild fauna such as vicunas, alpacas,
and the Andean Flamencos. Visit the village of Parinacota
and proceed to the Geoglyphs of the Lluta Valley.
Day 7: ARICA-IQUIQUE (B)
Morning transfer to Arica airport for your flight to Iquique.
Upon arrival in Iquique you will be transferred to your hotel.
In the afternoon enjoy an city tour along the coast to visit
Cavancha and Playa Brava beaches. Return through Balmacena
Park, Baquedano Street, Astoreca Palace, Prat Square, the
Municipal Theatre, Spaniard Casino, and the downtown area.
Day 8: IQUIQUE (B)
Full day at leisure. Today provides a great opportunity to
join an optional full day tour with lunch to Pintados Geoglyphis,
or simply relax in the city. The Pintados Geoglyphs are one
of the most impressive cultural expressions of the Andes.
These immense geoglyphs came alive during the 9th century
and show a large number of animals and stylized human figures.
Day 9 : IQUIQUE-SANTIAGO-USA (B)
Morning transfer to Iquique airport for your flight to the
USA via Santiago.
