DAY 1: USA/MADRID
Depart New York via overnight transatlantic flight with
meals on board.
DAY 2: MADRID
Morning arrival in Madrid. Meeting with your local host
and transfer to your hotel. The remainder of the day is
at leisure.
DAY 3: MADRID (B)
Your morning
begins with a tour
of Madrid featuring
the Prado
Museum, the Royal
Palace, the Puerta del
Sol and the Retiro
Park. The afternoon is at
leisure - explore the city on your
own or take an optional tour to
El Escorial or Segovia. In the
evening you may want to visit
one of the city’s fine restaurants
featuring flamenco shows.
DAY 4: MADRID - MERIDA -
SEVILLE (B, L, D)
After breakfast depart on your
tour which begins with a drive
through the Extremadura
region. Lunch In Merida and
visit the Roman Theatre.
Continue to Seville for
dinner and
overnight.
DAY 5:
SEVILLE (B, D)
The morning tour
after breakfast
today will include
visits to Spain’s
largest Cathedral, the
Giralda Tower, the
Alcazar Palace & Gardens, the
old Jewish Quarters, the Maria
Luisa Park and more. The afternoon
is free for you to enjoy this
beautiful city. Dinner and
overnight at the hotel.
DAY 6: SEVILLE - COSTA DEL SOL
(B, L)
After breakfast depart Seville
and arrive in Costa del Sol, the
cosmopolitan southern area of
Spain. The remainder of the day
is at leisure.
DAY 7: COSTA DEL SOL -
ALGECIRAS FEZ (B, D)
You will be picked up after
breakfast and transferred to
Algeciras to board the ferry
crossing the Straight of
Gibraltar towards Africa.
Continue by motorcoach to Fez
for dinner and overnight.
DAY 8: FEZ (B, D)
Fez is the most ancient of the
imperial cities and the religious,
artistic and intellectual center of
Morocco. A morning tour today
will visit the Medina and the
oldest Mosque in Africa, the
world famous Karaouyne. The
afternoon is at leisure.
DAY 9: FEZ - MEKNES -
MARRAKECH (B, D)
After breakfast depart for
Meknes, an imperial city encircled
by 40 kilometers of walls.
Continue to Marrakech for dinner
and overnight.
DAY 10: MARRAKECH (B, D)
Founded in the 11th century,
Marrakech is the second oldest
of the imperial cities, a palmed
oasis of gardens, fountains,
palaces and minaretes. Visit the
summer Royal Palace, the Saadi
Tombs, the Koutoubia Tower
and the famous Djeman El Fna
Square. The remainder of the
day is at leisure to explore the
city on your own.
DAY 11: MARRAKECHCASABLANCA-
RABAT
(B, D)
Breakfast and depart for
Casablanca, the busiest and
largest port in North Africa, and
a center of economic and industrial
growth. A sophisticated
city, it stands on the doorstep of
the old, with the medina making
a quaint contrast to the modern
structures of the city. Continue
to Rabat capital of Morocco.
Dinner and overrnight
DAY 12: RABAT-TANGIER (B, D)
Today you will depart for
Rabat, the capital of Morocco,
founded in the 12th century. A
tour of the city will include the
outside of the Royal Palace, the
Mausoleum of Mohamed V and
Hassan Tower. Continue to the
cosmopolitan city of Tangier
with its beautiful gardens and
the picturesque Kasbah. Dinner
and overnight.
DAY 13: TANGIER-CEUTA-COSTA
DEL SOL (B, D)
Depart for Ceuta for a short
stop to do some shopping and
then board the ferry back to
Algeciras. Continue to Costa del
Sol for dinner and overnight.
DAY 14: COSTA DEL SOL-MALAGAGRANADA
(B, D)
After breakfast depart towards
Malaga and continue to
Granada where you will have a
visit the Alhambra famous
fortress and the supreme monument
of Moorish architecture,
the Palace of Charles V and the
gardens of the Generalife.
Dinner and overnight at the
hotel.
DAY 15: GRANADA-TOLEDO-MADRID
(B, L)
After breakfast depart Granada
and work back to Madrid.
Along the way visit the Imperial
City of Toledo, and walk along
its narrow streets and
monuments. Arrival in Madrid
by evening for overnight.
DAY 16: MADRID/USA (B)
After breakfast you will be transferred to the airport for
your departure flight.
