Itinerary
DAY 1: USA/LISBON
Depart New York via overnight transatlantic flight with
meals on board.
DAY 2: LISBON
Early morning arrival at
Lisbon's International airport
where you will be met by your
local host. Transfer to your
hotel. Balance of the day at
leisure.
DAY 3: LISBON (B)
After breakfast you will be
departing on a tour of Lisbon.
Visit The Jeronimos
Monastery, Belem
Tower, Rossio
Square, the old
quarters of Alfama.
Balance of the day
at leisure to perhaps
take an optional tour
to Sintra and Estoril.
DAY 4: LISBON - FATIMA
-
LISBON (B)
After breakfast at your
hotel you will enjoy a full day
tour of Fatima, a very important
center for pilgrimages. Free time
to visit the Shrine and return to
Lisbon for overnight.
DAY 5: LISBON - MERIDA -
CORDOBA (B, L, D)
After breakfast this morning you
will depart for Cordoba. En
route stop in Merida to visit the
Roman Theater with its magnificent
backdrop of marble
columns. After lunch continue
to Cordoba for dinner and
overnight.
DAY 6: CORDOBA - SEVILLE (B, L)
After breakfast sightseeing tour
visiting the famous
Mosque/Cathedral and Jewish
Quarter. Departure to Seville
for lunch and accommodations.
Afternoon at
leisure.
DAY 7: SEVILLE (B, D)
After breakfast
depart on a
panoramic tour of
this charming city.
You will visit the well
cared for gardens of
Maria Luisa Park, walk
through the typical district
of Santa Cruz and visit the
Cathedral (15th C.), the largest
Gothic Cathedral in
Christendom, with a magnificent
chapel with paintings from
Murillo, Zurbaran and Goya.
Afternoon at leisure. Dinner and
overnight at the hotel.
DAY 8: SEVILLE - RONDA -
COSTA DEL SOL (B, D)
After breakfast depart towards
Ronda. Free time and continue
to Costa del Sol for dinner &
overnight.
DAY 9 : COSTA DEL SOL - GRANADA
(B, D)
After breakfast depart to
Granada. Built in the foothills of
the Sierra Nevada mountain
range, it was the stronghold of
the Nazeri Dynasty and the last
Moorish kingdom of Spain.
Sightseeing includes the
Alhambra famous fortress and
the supreme monument of
Moorish architecture, the Palace
of Charles V and the gardens of
the Generalife. Dinner and
overnight at the hotel.
DAY 10: GRANADA - VALENCIA (B)
This morning depart towards
the Mediterranean coast to
Valencia, the capital of the
region. Valencia is famous for
its unique fiesta of St. Joseph
know as Las Fallas.. The city
has a priceless Gothic architectural
heritage, including the
Lonja and El Miguelete, the
Cathedral bell tower. Overnight
at your hotel.
DAY 11: VALENCIA-BARCELONA (B)
Enjoy a morning of leisure in
Valencia. In the early afternoon
you will continue your journey
along the Mediterranean coast
and arrive in Barcelona.
Overnight.
DAY 12: BARCELONA (B)
Barcelona is the historical capital
of Catalonia and Spain's second
largest city in both size and
importance, with a rich architectural
heritage. Sightseeing
includes the old Gothic Quarters
with its magnificent Cathedral,
the Spanish Village and the
Plaza de Los Canonigos, the
monument to Christopher
Columbus, and more. The
remainder of the day is at
leisure.
DAY 13: BARCELONA-ZARAGOZA -
MADRID (B)
This morning you will depart to
Madrid via Zaragoza. Arrival
in Madrid and transfer to your
hotel. Balance of the day at
leisure.
DAY 14: MADRID (B)
Full day at leisure to explore the
city on your own or take advantage
of an optional tour to
Toledo.
DAY 15: MADRID (B)
Your morning begins with a
tour of Madrid featuring the
Prado Museum, the Royal
Palace, the Puerta del Sol and
Retiro Park. Afternoon is at
leisure.
DAY 16: MADRID - USA (B)
After breakfast you will be transferred to the airport for
your departure flight.
