Day 1: USA-CAIRO
An overnight
transatlantic flight takes you to
exotic Cairo in Egypt. Optional airfare from most USA cities is available at competitive prices.
Day 2: CAIRO
Enjoy a warm welcome at the airport from our representative,
who will assist you through customs and baggage claim formalities
and escort
you to your hotel. The remainder of the day is at leisure.
Day
3: CAIRO - PYRAMIDS & SPHINX - MUSEUM OF ANTIQUITIES (B)
Your tour this morning starts with a visit to
Giza to visit one of the 7 Wonders of the World,
the Pyramids, and the Sphinx. Return to Cairo to visit the
impressive Museum of Antiquities, which houses treasures
from the 1st to the 31st dynasties of Egypt's Pharaohs, including
the treasures of King Tutankhamun. Finish your touring today at the fascinating Khan El Khalili Bazaar, where you can search for hidden bargains. Return to the hotel for overnight.
Day 4: CAIRO - LUXOR - NILE CRUISE -TEMPLES
OF LUXOR & KARNAK (B,L,D) 
Morning
transfer to the airport for the short flight to Luxor, to board your Nile
cruise ship. After lunch on board, you will visit the Temples
of Luxor and Karnak. The afternoon is free to relax on
board the ship. Overnight on board the ship in Luxor.
Day 5: LUXOR - WEST BANK - ESNA (B,L,D)
Early in the
morning you will cross the Nile to its West Bank. Highlights
of the tour include the Valley of Kings
and Queens, where dynasties of Pharaohs were buried, the Great Temple
of Queen Hatshepsut at El Deir El Bahari, and more. Stop
at Medinet Habu to see the twin
Colossi of Memnon, the enormous seated statue facing the Nile. Return to
the ship for lunch. Sail to Esna. Dinner and overnight on board the ship.
Day 6: EDFU - KOM OMBO (B, L, D)
Sail to Edfu where you can visit the superbly preserved
temple of the falcon god Horus. After lunch on board.
the ship sails to Kom Ombo. In Kom Ombo you will visit
the temple shared by the two gods, Sobek
and Haroeis. Dinner and overnight on board.
Day 7: KOM OMBO - ASWAN (B,L,D)
Sail in the morning
to the Nubian town of Aswan. Sightseeing begins with a
visit to the High Dam, built by President
Nasser to control the flooding of the Nile. Then, travel
by boat to the Temple of Isis,
rising off the waters of Lake Nasser on the island of Philae. Continue
to the ancient Granite Quarries and the enormous 170
foot-long unfinished Obelisk. After
lunch on board, sail the Nile by felucca around Elephantine Island
to view the Agha Khan Mausoleum and Kitchener's Island.
Dinner and overnight on board the ship in
Aswan.
Day 8: ASWAN - CAIRO - CITADEL, MOSQUES(B)
Disembark after breakfast
and transfer to the airport for your flight to Cairo. Meeting
with your host upon arrival. Proceed on a half-day visit
of Citadel, Mohamed Ali and Sultan Hassan Mosques. After
the tour you will be transported to your hotel for check-in. Overnight.
Day 9: CAIRO - ALEXANDRIA (B)
Drive north today towards
the Mediterranean to the city of Alexandria, meeting place
of Julius
Caesar and Cleopatra. Sightseeing includes Pompey's
Pillar,
the Fort of Qait Bey, the Amphitheater, the Greco-Roman
Museum of Antiquities and more. Overnight in Alexandria.
Day 10: ALEXANDRIA - CAIRO (B)
This morning's
tour visits the Catacombs,
the Royal Jewelry Museum and the Montazah Gardens.
You will have free time for lunch (optional) and
then drive
south along the desert road to Cairo for overnight.
Day 11: CAIRO - DEPARTURE (B)
Transfer to the airport for your departing flight.
